A unique feature of Al-Habeeb is that each student is given individual care and concern by the faculty. A group of 15 students is assigned to each faculty member to monitor the academic and non-academic progress of the student over the academic years and help and guide him/her by constant support and guidance in the need of help. A relationship is built between the mentor and mentee through this programme which help in the professional and personal development of the students and the teacher. The faculty also builds a rapport with the mentee’s parents to update them about their ward.
There is a time for the parents to share their knowledge of their child, including their hopes for the child's future. It could also be an opportunity for the teacher to increase the parents' awareness of their students’ classroom experience and how the child relates within the college environment. There are several things that both parents and teachers can do together that may help to build a successful future of the student. By keeping this in mind Al-Habeeb has established a culture of organizing regular parent-teacher meetings to improve the academic performance and behaviour or conduct of the students. We also update the parents by regularly sending the progress report and attendance status through emails, SMS or by post.
Awards and Rewards
Performances do not happen in vacuum. They feed on the desire to be acknowledged, appreciated and rewarded. We not only understand the need to motivate but also encourage and inspire them to move ahead in life with pride. Students who top in academics, attendance, sports and other extracurricular activities are awarded on the college annual day.
